Fantasy Author Young-Turner Speaks at Howard County Chapter Meeting

Fantasy author Cindy Young-Turner will read from her novel, Thief of Hope, at the March meeting of the MWA Howard County Chapter on Thursday, March 21, 2013 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Sunrise Senior Living, 6500 Freetown Road, in Columbia. [Please note corrected date from original post.]

In addition to reading from Thief of Time — a finalist for the 2012 EPIC eBook and 2012 Compton Crook Awards — Ms. Young-Turner will discuss the advantages and disadvantages of being published by a small independent publisher and the challenges new authors face in marketing their books.

About the speaker:

An avid reader for as long as she can remember, Ms. Young-Turner became fascinated with mythology and Arthurian legend at an early age. Her work reflects her belief that the timeless themes of love, hate, revenge, and redemption transcend genres. In her day job she provides editorial and business development support for international health and development projects. You can find out more about her at her website.
